Our Business

The idea for Imagistone was born in 2002 in Carrollton, Texas.  The founders felt there had to be a better way to upgrade a kitchen rather than throwing out perfectly good laminate or Corian countertops and replacing them with expensive granite.  The notion of reusability was very important.  The founders had an idea that existing tops could be made more attractive by applying a surface that looked great and at the same time offered their customers tremendous savings over granite or other engineered stone products.  Most of the existing countertops in 2002 and even today are Formica, Corian or other laminates.  The founders felt that modifying the unattractive laminate edge was critical to achieving an updated and more slab-like look.  They also felt that a rapid installation was important to the customer.  Based on these goals Imagistone was launched in 2003.  Today Imagistone has been installed in over 1500 homes in the DFW area.  Imagistone's founders continue to operate the business and focus daily on quality workmanship, customer satisfaction and adding new offerings to Imagistone's product solutions. Imagistone also provides surfaces for bathrooms as well as custom stone work for backsplashes and showers.

 Care & Warranty

Durability is important. Imagistone is a durable surface because it's seamless, non-porous and highly stain resistant. It is renewable too.

Use cutting boards and trivets to ensure the long life and beauty of the surface. 

Imagistone is multi-component overlay that incorporates a unique blend of hardening polymers.  When appropriately cared for, Imagistone provides strength, durability, and beauty for many years to come.

Guidelines for care and damage prevention are essentially the same as for other more expensive surfaces.  Imagistone can be repaired including damage incurred from knife cuts.

Chemicals to avoid include exposing the surface to strong chemicals and solvents. Items to avoid include pure bleach and oven cleaners. Imagistone is non-porous unlike some surfaces so bleach is not required.

While these surfaces are scratch and heat resistant, always use a cutting board or trivet in order to avoid damage.

The philosophy on warranty and repair is simple.  Yes, there is a one year warranty but an Imagistone customer is never regarded as being in-warranty or out-of-warranty.   Imagistone will do what is needed to fix the issue.  In fact, Imagistone usually never charges for any repair unless it's a large area that was customer-created.  Small knicks are usually repaired without charge.  That is because Imagistone has few callbacks from customers and can normally repair a small knick within minutes. Larger customer-created damage such as flood damage, foundation issues or cooking fires are charged at $75 per hour.  See Imagistone Care and Warranty.
